(1) The farmland occupied by the Three Gorges Project shall be taxed at 40% of the taxable amount in the dam area and submerged area. (3) Enterprises newly established in the old revolutionary base areas, ethnic minority areas, remote areas and poverty-stricken areas as determined by the state may, with the approval of the competent tax authorities, have their enterprise income tax reduced or exempted for three years.

(4) For productive foreign-invested enterprises in Yichang, Zigui, Xingshan and Badong counties, the enterprise income tax is levied at a reduced rate of 24%, and the enterprise income tax can be levied at a reduced rate of 15% if it belongs to energy, transportation, ports, docks or other projects encouraged by the state.

(5) For productive foreign-invested enterprises located in the old urban area of Yichang City, the enterprise income tax shall be levied at a reduced rate of 24%. For productive foreign-invested enterprises established in Yichang, all projects with technology-intensive projects, projects with foreign investment of more than 30 million US dollars and long payback period, and projects engaged in infrastructure construction such as energy, transportation, ports, etc., the enterprise income tax may be levied at a reduced rate of 15% with the approval of the tax authorities with approval authority.

Dividends, interests, rents, royalties and other income from Yichang, where foreign investors have no establishment in China, shall be subject to income tax at a reduced rate of 10%, except those exempted from income tax according to law. Need to give more preferential reduction or exemption, it shall be submitted to the provincial people's government for decision.

(VI) For foreign-invested enterprises located in Yichang, Yichang, Zigui, Xingshan and Badong counties, the reduction or exemption of local income tax shall be implemented according to Article 29 of Hubei Provincial Provisions on Enterprises Invested by Overseas Chinese, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Compatriots No.87 of Hubei Provincial People's Government.

(7) Newly-established labor and employment service enterprises that resettle unemployed youth, surplus personnel of state-owned enterprises who have changed their operating mechanism and rural non-personnel who have been resettled in those years, if the number of people resettled in those years exceeds 60% of the total number of employees in the enterprise, may be exempted from income tax for three years upon examination and approval by the tax authorities.
