Why are people in China called abc?

China people are called abc because they are descendants of China people born in the United States.

ABC used to refer to American-born Chinese, but now it refers to the second and third generation children of overseas Chinese immigrants. Although they have black hair and yellow skin, they know little about Chinese. They speak authentic American English. They have been influenced by American culture and education since childhood, and their way of thinking and values are completely Americanized, which is different from their predecessors who immigrated to the United States.

Abc is a contradiction between eastern and western cultures. Most of their parents are first-generation immigrants who came to the United States in the early days. Many years' living background in China makes these people not naturally integrate into local life in the United States. At home, their parents still educate their children with China's traditional thinking and life values. These ABC's really received pure American education in local schools, and many ABC's are eager to absorb more American culture, and they advocate being white in their hearts.

Chinese history

The legend of China people emigrating overseas began in the Zhou and Qin Dynasties, but the history can be traced back to the Han Dynasty. In 124 BC, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty established exchanges between China and the West. For a long time, messengers and people came and went every year, ranging from hundreds to hundreds. China has opened up maritime traffic with Southeast Asia, India and Sri Lanka since the Han Dynasty.

During the Tang Dynasty, China people gradually emigrated. Many foreigners refer to overseas Chinese as Tang people, and they returned to Tangshan after returning to China. In the Song and Yuan Dynasties after the 10 century, especially in Fujian and Guangdong, many people went abroad to make a living.

Overseas Chinese mainly live in Singapore, where there are many local ethnic minorities, and Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, where there are few local ethnic minorities. From 16 to 19 century, overseas Chinese in these areas were mainly concentrated in Fujian and Guangdong provinces, and later concentrated in Hainan province. From the tenth century to the fifteenth century, immigrants mainly went to Malacca and Southeast Asia.
