What's the difference between EB- 1 EB-2 EB-3 immigrant visas?

First of all, these are business immigrant visas, and they are all employment visa programs. The difference between the two is that the requirements for the applicant's materials are different, and the requirements for the applicant themselves are also different. But their purpose is the same, that is, to select excellent immigrants as much as possible.

EB- 1 immigrant visa

EB- 1 The visa program is aimed at excellent workers. There are three sub-categories under EB- 1 visa: EB- 1A (also known as EB-1-0/) stands for outstanding talents, and EB- 1B (also known as EB- 1-2) stands for outstanding talents.

Generally speaking, successful EB- 1 applicants usually show extraordinary abilities in business, art, science, education or sports. Or they may be senior managers of companies with operations in the United States and abroad. Relatively speaking, very few people can enter the United States by applying for EB- 1A and EB- 1B, and more applicants can meet the standards required by EB-1C. Applicants under the EB- 1 program must prove that they are willing and able to continue working or studying in the United States.

EB-2 immigrant visa

If potential applicants have advanced degrees or important professional knowledge in the field of work or study, they can apply for EB-2 visa program. The requirements of this project are not as strict as EB- 1, and the benefits are certainly not as high as EB- 1 (especially for applicants from China and India). Most EB-2 visa applicants must have an American employment agreement, but according to the subcategory of National Interest Exemption ("NIW"), some applicants can be exempted from the work permit application process.

EB-3 immigrant visa

EB-3 visa scheme has the lowest qualification among the three schemes. Although the good news is that EB-3 is easier to authenticate than EB-2 and EB- 1, the bad news is that nationals in some countries have a backlog of applications and have to wait 10 years or even longer to get visas. I didn't apply for the EB-3 visa myself. This category includes skilled workers, assembly line processors and waiters, who have no advanced degree but have 2 years of skills training or work experience.

What materials do these three need to apply for? You can pay attention to Bian Xiao's article, and I will answer these questions in more detail.
