According to the Records of Chicheng in Jiading, County Records of the Republic of China and Notes of Taizhou, there are three ways to say where the "Linhai Mountain" is.

It is said that "Linhai Mountain" is "Niutou Mountain" and "County Records of the Republic of China" records that "Linhai Mountain enters the sea 240 miles northeast of the county seat. This Niutou Mountain is named after a stone. " "Chi Cheng Zhi" records, "If Linhai Mountain is 240 miles northeast of the county and the mountain is in the sea, why is there a combination of Shifeng and Le 'an? This is very wrong. " Denying "Niutou Mountain" is "Linhai Mountain". "County Records of the Republic of China" also records: Niutou Mountain, 280 miles east of the county seat, Ninghai in the northeast. According to Chi Cheng Zhi, Niutou Mountain is located in the east of the county seat 136, near Ninghai in the north and the sea in the east, with Niutou Palace and Niutou Gate beside it, which is the crossroads of the sea passage. It is not clear whether Niutou Mountain is a coastal mountain. The Niutou Mountain recorded here is considered to be another mountain that has nothing to do with "Linhai Mountain".

Second, "Linhai Mountain" means "baimashan". "baimashan" is next to Sanjiang Village in Yongfeng Town, about a mile away from Sanjiang Village. According to local legend, baimashan's horse head was cut off, forming a headless horse head, a horse head in Matou Mountain in Shuiyang Town and a horse head in baimashan. "Yuanhe County Records" and "Linhai Ji" said, "Linhai Creek is three miles northwest of this city. Because of the name of the stream, Yunshan is in Sanjiang, and it is suspected to be the baimashan of Sanjiang in the northwest of the county. " Is baimashan a mountain near the sea? City Famous City Research Association organized relevant experts and scholars to inspect baimashan. Opinions vary, some say yes, some say no, and most of them deny it. The reason is that if this mountain is a "forest seamount", although it is split in two, it is self-contradictory with Lin Haiji. At the same time, this mountain is short and small, which is extremely disproportionate to the county named after this mountain. Baimashan is a local scenic mountain.

Third, "Linhai Mountain" means "Dagu Mountain". Hong's Notes on Taizhou quoted Yuanhe County Records as saying: "There are two waters in Linhai River, and one water is synthesized. One is Shifengxi and the other is Le 'anxi (now Yong 'anxi), which reaches the northwest of Zhoucheng at Shili River. " The forty-seven volumes of "Taiping Magnolia" quoted "Linhai Collection": "Linhai Mountain, where there are two waters, is called Linhai. One water is Shifengxi, and the other is Le 'anxi (Yong 'anxi) to Zhou Bei. Together, the two streams are called Linhai Stream. Because the mountain is named after the stream, Linhai Mountain is now suspected to be Dagu Mountain, hence the name Linhai County. " It can be clearly seen from this record that these two streams are combined in Sanjiang and flow into Lingjiang. The criteria for dividing rivers and streams are that the water is as clear as a stream and the water is as turbid as a river. After flowing into Lingjiang, it enters Zhoucheng, passes through Dagu Mountain (both Gulong Mountain and Baiyun Mountain are the same mountain) and flows to the sea, which is more accurate. The reasons are as follows: 1. Hongzhi records that "it is 80 feet high, and now it is 27 feet and 5 feet, which is the barrier of the city." In the first year of Yuanxing, Xin Jing, the prefect of Linhai, built a city here to resist Sun En. There is also a record of "with Chen Ping, Linhai Town is located in Dagushan, and its city is protected by thousands of people". It fully shows that Dagu Mountain is an important defensive place and an important geographical environment for establishing a county. Second, The Word of the History of Taoism records that Mao Ying learned Taoism in Gulong Mountain in Linhai, and rose by crane. In Shaoxing for ten years, a monk spent a lot of money and stopped on this mountain. Dagushan became a famous mountain, which created conditions for the establishment of the county. At that time, counties and counties attached great importance to geomantic omen and thought it was "good geomantic omen". A famous river is a famous mountain. Where there is a Linhai River, there are Linhai Mountains and Linhai County. Dagushan is in front, and Linhai County is behind. When Linhai County was established, it was named after Linhai Mountain. In the ninth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (589), the county was abandoned, and Zhang 'an, Shifeng, Ninghai and Le 'an were merged into Linhai County. In the 11th year (59 1), he moved to Dagushan.

Judging from the data from all parties, from the geographical environment and topography, "Linhai Mountain" is "Dagu Mountain", which is more in line with reality and history. Linhai, not facing the sea, is named because it is backed by mountains. Linhai Mountain is the symbol of Linhai County. It is not as famous as Mount Tai and Hu Aishan. It has its own unique style and stands in the northwest of Taizhou Fucheng. Today, it has become a tourist attraction in China and even the whole world. Dagushan, a mountain by the sea, radiates light and heat. Judging from historical facts, Dagushan can also be renamed as "Linhai Mountain" and Linhai County can be named as "Linhai Mountain". If "Dagushan" is recognized as "Linhai Mountain", a monument can be erected on this mountain for future generations to see, adding a landscape to Dagushan.
