Is CGFNS difficult to test?

According to article 2 12(a)(b) (c) of the American Immigration Act (INA) and article 343 of the Non-Immigration Reform and Immigration Responsibility Act (IIRIRA), all foreign nurses who enter the United States to engage in nursing work, whether applying for non-immigrant visas or professional immigration status, must first pass the so-called "American Nurse Qualification Examination" and obtain CGFNS.

The US Immigration Service regards this CGFNS certificate as the only criterion for foreign nurses to apply for a non-immigrant work visa or permanent residence, and this requirement has been written into the US immigration law. At the same time, the nursing bureaus in most states in the United States (more than 80% states) require that nurses who have received nursing education outside the United States must obtain the "Nurse Qualification Certificate" issued by CGFNS as a prerequisite for participating in NCLEX-RN.

The American CGFNS test and TOEFL test are the same national authoritative test items in the United States, and they are the only advanced nursing test items in the world at present. If you get the certificate, you will get the internationally recognized qualification of a first-class nurse.

1.CGFNS organization

CGFNS is the abbreviation of Commission on Grades of Foreign Nursing Schools, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. It is an independent private non-profit organization, mainly sponsored by American Nursing Association (ANA) and National Nursing Alliance (NLN). Established in 1977, it has 40 examination centers in 29 countries and the United States, including China SAR and Taiwan Province Province. At present, Chinese mainland test center is under intense preparation.

2.CGFNS certificate scheme

Step 1: Get the registration brochure and registration form, and send personal registration materials (including high school graduation certificate, school nursing certificate and nurse registration certificate) as required to register. CGFNS will evaluate your information to determine whether you are qualified to take the exam.

Step 2: register for TOEFL (you can also take TOEFL before or after taking CGFNS. The TOEFL test content should include TWE option).

Step 3: CGFNS will inform you whether you are qualified to take the CGFNS exam. Issue admission tickets to those who pass.

Step 4: Take the CGFNS test (American Nursing Knowledge Test) and TOEFL test.

Step 5: Those who pass the exam will get a "CGFNS certificate".

3.CGFNS exam content

The nursing knowledge test of CGFNS is based on what nurses must know and should do in nursing work in the United States. Therefore, candidates must know about American nursing knowledge and clinical fields, as well as American nursing culture and nursing system.

4.CGFNS exam structure

The topics of CGFNS nursing examination are all four-choice multiple-choice questions in English, with a total of 260 questions, which are divided into two parts. * * * It takes 4 hours and 20 minutes a day. After the first part of the exam, we will have a lunch break of 1 hour and then take the second part of the exam. The time allocation of examination questions is roughly one minute to complete one question. The CGFNS test does not test listening, speaking and English writing skills.

5.CGFNS test results

About 8 to 10 weeks after the exam, CGFNS will inform the candidates of the exam results. The CGFNS exam takes the qualified score line and does not inform the specific test score. If the candidates pass the CGFNS nursing exam and pass the TOEFL exam with a score of 540 or above within 2 years, they will soon obtain the American nurse qualification certificate issued by CGFNS. The certificate is valid indefinitely. If a candidate passes the CGFNS nursing exam, but the TOEFL score is unqualified or has not yet passed the exam, he must pass the TOEFL exam within 2 years to obtain the CGFNS certificate. If you fail to pass the TOEFL test within 2 years, candidates must re-take the CGFNS nursing test and start over.

6. Examination date

The CGFNS exam is held three times a year, in March and July, 165438+ October. All the test centers in the world hold exams on the same day. The deadline for registration of CGFNS exam is 3 months before the exam.

7. The role of 7.CGFNS certificate

CGFNS certificate is recognized by English-speaking countries, which is equivalent to "United Nations passport". With this certificate, you can contact nurse organizations in these countries and visit the country for free after completing the quota work.
