The origin and development history of Cantonese!

Because Cantonese is used in Guangdong, many people call it "Cantonese" or "Cantonese". In fact, this statement is incorrect. This has to start with the use of Cantonese. The use of Cantonese in Guangdong is limited to Huidong County, Huizhou City in the east, Zhanjiang in the west and Shaoguan in the north. People in the east of Huidong County speak Hakka, while people in Chaoshan area speak Chaoshan dialect. Because Shenzhen is an immigrant city, although it is adjacent to Hong Kong, it mainly speaks Mandarin. In several counties and cities in northern Hunan province near Jiangxi, people also speak a dialect similar to Hakka dialect, but many people don't know that people from Wuzhou, Guangxi to Guiping and Beihai in the south (Nanning has more immigrants in recent years, mainly speaking Mandarin, while the suburbs mainly speak Cantonese). It can be explained here that it is unreasonable to call Cantonese Cantonese. In fact, among this group of Cantonese speakers, what people call "vernacular" is of course different from the classical Chinese used in reading. So "vernacular" is by far the most suitable name for Cantonese. So, is it more reasonable for Cantonese to be called Cantonese? This is the name accepted by most people at present, but according to the historical origin of Cantonese, it is concluded that Cantonese does not come from Guangzhou. Judging from the history of urban development, Foshan has a longer history than Guangzhou, which was then called Panyu. The history of Duanzhou (now Zhaoqing) is not later than that of Foshan, so saying that Cantonese originated in Guangzhou is tantamount to reversing the historical order. It is only because of Guangzhou's rapid development and great influence that it continues to develop. But now I feel that the influence of Cantonese in Hong Kong has gradually surpassed that of Guangzhou, and it is mixed with the accent of Western English.

People who don't know Cantonese often can't tell the difference between Cantonese and Cantonese and think they are the same. In fact, there is a difference in accent between them. People who believe in other languages will know that there will be some differences in language accents due to regional differences. There is no difference in Cantonese accent in the Pearl River Delta near Guangzhou, but the difference is gradually obvious outside this area. For example, in Maoming and Zhanjiang in western Guangdong, people say "I went" as "I didn't go". It seems that Hong Kong people can't pronounce N, but like to pronounce "you" as "Li" and "Li". "Nan" and "Nan" are pronounced as "Lan" and "Lan", which are quite different in Cantonese in Guangxi, especially in Beihai. It is said that many people in Guangzhou can't understand Beihai Cantonese. On the contrary, Cantonese in Wuzhou is very close to Cantonese, but there are some different accents. For example, Wuzhou said "Li Guo" instead of "Guo Duo", which further proves that Cantonese originated in Zhaoqing instead of Guangzhou.
