The announcement on further standardizing the supervision of pet entry quarantine will be officially implemented on May 1. On the basis of clarifying that each person is only allowed to bring 1 dog or cat into the country at a time, the new regulations exempt three types of imported pets that have passed on-site quarantine and have effective electronic chips from quarantine.

Policy one

Three types of imported pets exempt from quarantine include: pets from countries or regions designated by 19, namely, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Hawaii, Guam, Jamaica, Iceland, Britain, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Cyprus, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Macau, China.

At the same time, pets from non-designated countries or regions have effective electronic chips, provide rabies antibody test reports issued by 62 laboratories accepted by the General Administration of Customs (antibody titer or immune antibody quantity must be above 0.5IU/ml) and pass on-site quarantine; In addition, if the pets are guide dogs, hearing dogs and rescue dogs, they have effective electronic chips, and the carriers provide corresponding user certificates and professional training certificates and pass on-site quarantine.

It should be noted that pets that do not meet the requirements for exemption from inspection need to enter from 9 ports with quarantine facilities, including Beijing Capital Airport, Beijing West Railway Station, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai International Passenger Transport Center, Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, Urumqi Diwobao International Airport and Alashankou.
