Bailong River Water Diversion Construction Scheme?

Bailong River Water Diversion Project draws water from the upper reaches of Bailong River, a tributary of Jialing River in Gansu Province, and supplies water to 20 counties (districts) in Tianshui, Pingliang and Qingyang in the southeast of Gansu Province and 24 counties (districts) in Yan 'an City, Shaanxi Province. The project consists of four parts: water source project, water trunk line, water trunk line and terminal reserve reservoir. Daigusi Reservoir is a water source project with a total storage capacity of 408 million cubic meters and a total length of 489.5 kilometers and 834.63 kilometers. There are nine water intakes along the trunk line, namely Wushan, Sol Zhang, Zhuanglang, Huating, Kongtong, Zhenyuan, Qingyang, Qingcheng and Yan 'an, and the trunk line will deliver water from the trunk line to Yan 'an.

According to the principle of one county and one reservoir, there are 23 terminal reserve reservoirs, including 8 new reservoirs/kloc-0 and 5 existing and planned reservoirs. As the backbone project, the total investment of water source project, water conveyance trunk line and trunk line project is 59.868 billion yuan. The project construction will effectively solve the shortage of domestic, industrial water supply and efficient agricultural irrigation water in urban and rural areas in southeastern Gansu, and provide water resources support for improving people's livelihood, consolidating poverty alleviation achievements and building an ecological and civilized society in the old revolutionary base areas and Liupanshan area.
