Shizitan Hydropower Station Hub

Shizitan Hydropower Station is the first cascade hydropower station of Longxi River. It is the first multi-year regulating reservoir with a storage capacity of10.28 billion cubic meters (with an effective storage capacity of 748 million cubic meters), with a controlled drainage area of 3,020 square kilometers, an average annual flow of 44.8 seconds cubic meters, a designed flood flow of 4.080 seconds cubic meters, a designed irrigation area of 5,000 mu and an installed capacity of 48,000 kilowatts. The dam type of the main dam is a reinforced concrete inclined wall rockfill dam, with the maximum dam height of 52m and the crest length of 10 14.3m (the main dam). The dam foundation rocks are sandy claystone and argillaceous sandstone, and the dam body is filled with 405,000 cubic meters of stones and 240,000 cubic meters of concrete. The main way of flood discharge is the shore spillway.

Shizitan Reservoir draws water to each unit through a pressure tunnel with a length of1462.5m and a diameter of 5m, a differential surge shaft, a penstock with a length of133.213m and four steel branch pipes with a diameter of 2.6m.. The length of pressure channel of each unit is: 1636. 18m (No.1); 1638.978m (No.2); 1642.131m (No.3),1644.83m (No.4).
