Tourism of Zhuji Ancient Town in Zhuji

Historically, a large number of residents of Zhuji Lane moved south to the Pearl River Delta. According to the research of contemporary scholars, there are 14 1 Zhuji immigrants in 29 cities and counties in the Pearl River Delta, with tens of millions of immigrants. In recent years, with a large number of descendants of Zhuji Lane returning home to find their roots and ancestors, Zhuji Lane has become a new hot spot for sightseeing in our city. Zhuji Lane, the only ancient road in Gu Xiang of Guangdong Province in Song Dynasty, has the reputation of "the first lane in Guangdong", with a total length of 1.500 meters and a pavement width of more than 4 meters, and is paved with pebbles. Zhuji Lane is divided into North Gate, Middle Street and South Gate. With Hongshi as the wall base, three gatehouses are built. In the south, there is a Hummer bridge as a post road (destroyed in the Great Leap Forward). Zhuji Lane basically retains the original appearance of the ancient post road. Nanmenlou, located at the southern end of Zhuji Lane, is one of the landmark buildings in Zhuji Lane. Built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the memorial archway was rebuilt in 16 with stone tablets of "Zhuji Gu Xiang" and "Ancestor's Former Residence". The current building is a brick-wood structure with three bedrooms and three floors, resting on the top of the mountain and covered with green glazed tiles. The overall height is 9.5 meters, the width is 7.7 meters, the depth is 3.2 meters, and the arch is 3.5 meters high and 3.2 meters wide.

About 20 meters away from the south gate of Zhuji Lane, there is a Yuan Dynasty solid stone pagoda named "Hufei Pagoda" (built in A.D. 1350). There is an ancient well next to the pagoda. It is said that Hu Fei jumped into the well that year. As for Hu Fei, it is recorded in the History of Song Dynasty that Hu Fei was originally the concubine of Du Zong in the Southern Song Dynasty, but was framed by Jia Sidao, the prime minister of the dynasty, and was ordered to leave the palace as a nun. After Hu Fei escaped from the temple, he was rescued by Huang Chuwan, a wealthy businessman in Nanxiong Zhuji Lane, and was taken as a concubine. Unexpectedly, this incident was reported by domestic servants, and the court sent troops to encircle it, so Zhuji Lane and dozens of people around it fled their homes and moved south on a large scale. Hu Fei thought she had hurt everyone, so she jumped into the well. In memory of Hu Fei, later generations built the "Hufei Tower" by the well. This is the only ancient pagoda of the Yuan Dynasty in Guangdong that can be dated. The tower is 3.5 meters high, solid, seven-story octagonal and made of 65,438+07 finely carved red sandstone. This is also the largest migration of residents in Zhuji Lane, with 97 households, 14 1 surname.
