Verb (abbreviation of verb) matters needing attention

3. After the new photo is sent, the original photo will be cancelled and returned to the applicant.
Passport loss handling method
First, check the passport claim information.
Don't panic when you find your passport lost. At present, visas in Australia are all signed electronically, so even if your passport is missing, it will not affect your visa. You can also easily find your visa information from the website of the Immigration Bureau.
First of all, please log in to the "Lost Passport Claim" section of the local Consulate General's website, and the Consulate General will supplement the lost passport claim information received in this section in time. If your passport happens to be found and returned to the Consulate General, you can claim it and continue to use it.
The following is the consulate information of several important cities:
1. Embassy of China in Australia
Address: 15 Coronation Avenue, Yarralumla, Australia 2600 Act.
2. Consulate General of China in Sydney
Address: 39 Dunblane Street, Camperdown, New South Wales, 2050.
Consular area: New South Wales.
3. Consulate General of China in Melbourne
Address: 75-77 Owen Road, Toorak, Melbourne, Victoria, 3 142.

4. Consulate General of China in Perth

5. Consulate General of China in Brisbane
Address: 9th Floor, No.79 Adelaide Street, Brisbane, 4000.
The consular district is Queensland, and the main cities are Brisbane, Gold Coast and Cairns.
Second, report the loss.
If you can't find the passport information on the passport collection website, you need to call the non-emergency police hotline immediately (Australia's alarm number is 000, but the loss of passport is a non-emergency situation without life-threatening, so you usually call 13 1 444), or report to the nearby police station and record the alarm number (incident).

It is very important to report the loss to the police. The lost passport certificate issued by the police is one of the necessary materials to apply for a travel permit.
3. Apply for a travel permit or reissue a passport.
After losing their passports, tourists must go to the Embassy of China or the local consulate of China to reissue their passports or travel permits in person before returning to China. If you need to leave the country urgently, the consulate will issue you a travel permit first, and you can leave the country once.
According to the latest regulations, the issuance time of ordinary passports is uniformly set at 15 working days from the date of accepting applications. Of course, it is impossible for people who travel abroad to stay for such a long time. It is recommended to apply for a tourist permit. Under normal circumstances, it takes four working days for an embassy or consulate to apply for a travel permit, and only two working days for expedited travel.
Applicable situation
1. China citizens can apply for a new ordinary passport if it is lost, stolen or damaged.
2. Prepare the required materials:
Matters needing attention
After the new photo is reissued, the original passport will be declared invalid, and even if it is retrieved, it can no longer be used. It should be sent to the consulate for cancellation as soon as possible.
The Consulate General will understand the feelings of those who have lost their passports and will deal with them as soon as possible.
However, according to the working procedures, no matter how urgent the situation is, it must be verified by the original issuing authority (mostly the public security organs of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government), so it is impossible to promise the parties a specific time for obtaining evidence.
Fourth, return to China to reissue passports.
After returning home, tourists can go back to the entry-exit permit center where their household registration is located, provide the alarm certificate in Australia when their documents are lost, the relevant certificate provided by the travel agency, or publish the notice of loss in the designated newspaper according to the regulations of the relevant departments, and choose one of the three materials. Among them, alarm proof is undoubtedly the simplest method.
Materials to be carried:
Travel card and its photocopy (photo page, entry stamp page), household registration book and its photocopy, ID card and its photocopy, original and photocopy of foreign alarm records, translation by a translation company recognized by the entry-exit administration department, and 2-inch photos.
Finally, I would like to remind you that you must take good care of your personal belongings when you go out. In case you lose them, you will have a headache.
Therefore, before going out, you must plan ahead. In order to prevent losing your passport, you'd better do the following:
1. When preparing to travel or study abroad, you'd better make a backup of relevant identification. Separate the original from the copy! The best way is to take a copy of your ID card, a photo of your passport's first page and visa page, a photo of your household registration book and a photo of your air ticket with you during your trip, and prepare one in the mail.
2. Just take a copy of your passport with you, and only use the original when staying in a hotel or flying.
You'd better put your passport in your bag after traveling, instead of holding it in your hand all the time. It is best to keep the passports of minor passengers by their peers' parents or tour leaders.
4. Fill in the address and contact number in the "emergency information" column on the last page of the entry-exit certificate, so that once found, you can contact the owner in time.
When shopping abroad, you should avoid exposing your wealth and being targeted by thieves. Don't put your passport and wallet together and store them separately to prevent accidents. At the same time, before boarding the plane, don't rush shopping to prevent you from losing your passport when you are busy.
