Kunming songhua dam Reservoir is a large reservoir for flood control and water storage. It is located in the northeast of Heilongtan in the northern suburb of Kunming. It was built in 1274-1276. After many overhauls, reconstruction and expansion, the total storage capacity has now expanded to 219 million cubic meters, with a runoff area of 593 square kilometers. It can provide Kunming with an average annual drinking water of 3, tons, accounting for 6% of the water of Kunming Water Supply Company. Irrigated farmland is 5852.67 square kilometers. The main dam is 62m high, the crest length is 21m, the auxiliary dam is 34.5m high and the crest length is 354.6m.
