What race are the Persians?

Persians are the main ethnic group in West Asia, also known as pars people, with a population of 204 1000( 1985), accounting for about 53% of the total population of China. They mainly live in the central and eastern provinces of Iran, and more than 600,000 people are scattered in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and other countries. They belong to Europa's southern Mediterranean type, use Persian and belong to Indo-European Iranian language family. Believe in Islam, mainly Shiites.

Persians are considered to be descendants of Aryans who migrated from Central Asia to Iran around 2000 BC. Zoroastrian Parsis in West India live in Gujarat, Mumbai and southern Pakistan. Most of them are descendants of Zoroastrianism in Persia. Iranians are another small ethnic group in western South Asia. They are descendants of Zoroastrianism in late Persia. In addition, Hazaras and Aymāq in Afghanistan are descendants of Iranian Mongols and Turks.
