Application steps:

1, check your passport

If your passport will expire or be damaged within six months of your expected arrival in the United States, or there are no blank pages in your passport, please apply for a new passport before applying for B2.

2. Fill in the form DS 160.

After registering an account, enter the [online application] system.

You can select "New Visa Application/Schedule Interview Time" and you will be prompted to pay the visa fee directly. There are two ways to pay visa fees: online payment or payment at CITIC Bank outlets. If you go to the outlet to pay, you need to print out the payment interface, which will have CGI reference number as the payment voucher number. Bring printed vouchers and passports, as well as RMB 1008 cash, and you can pay at any one of China CITIC Bank.

4. Make an appointment for an interview.

Return/continue the previous steps after payment. After booking the visa time, the system will generate a confirmation letter and send it to your email. Remember the time and place, take all the materials to the embassy that day, and don't be late.

Step 5 prepare a list of materials

1) The embassy requires mandatory materials.

2) Passport, if you have an old passport, take it with you.

3) Print version of confirmation page of DS-160 form

4) A 2 * 2 inch color photo with a light background.

5) Payment voucher of CITIC Bank

Supplementary material

1) Invitation letter from American relatives

2) Travel arrangements in the United States

3) Letter of certification issued by the applicant's unit, indicating the position, salary and employment date.

4) Payroll of the applicant in the last three months.

5) the applicant's business card

6) Bank statement (monthly statement or passbook shows at least the account activity in the past year)

7) Proof of ownership of assets, such as apartments, houses and cars (with original proof)

8) Documents that can prove China's family relationship, such as marriage certificate and household registration certificate.

9) Family photo 1 ~ 2.

The above supplementary materials are unnecessary. If you have other materials to prove your relationship and family background in China, you can also submit them as supplementary materials.

6. The day of the interview

Now there are more and more people going to the embassy for face-to-face interviews, and the waiting time is also very likely.

It will be very long. Backpacks, mobile phones, water and food are not allowed to be brought into the embassy. Therefore, it is recommended to eat, drink and prepare for the war before entering the embassy.

7. Waiting for a passport
