Norwegian marine archaeologist heyerdahl visited Peru and Polynesia in America. There is a similar legend in Peru: Tiki led his people to leave the western continent on a raft when aliens invaded, and headed west without a destination.

In the further investigation of the cultures of the two places, heyerdahl found more similarities. Therefore, heyerdahl was convinced that Polynesians originated in America.
