Can overseas Chinese come back to play a number?
The difference between Chinese, Chinese and overseas Chinese: Chinese refers to people whose nationality is foreign, actually from China? On the other hand, it is also the collective name of all China people. China people are of China origin, but their nationality is not China. Overseas Chinese refer to people who have China nationality but live abroad or have lived abroad for a long time.
China people refer to people of China descent who have joined or acquired foreign nationality. "Hua" is the ancient name of China. In ancient China, people living in other places were called "overseas Chinese" and "overseas Chinese", and the name of foreign "Chinese" evolved from "overseas Chinese".
China people have a long history of emigration. Before the Tang and Song Dynasties, there was no fixed title for China people who emigrated abroad. After the Tang and Song Dynasties, due to the development and exchange of economy and culture, the expansion of foreign trade and the development of transportation, the number of people who emigrated abroad increased sharply, and they were often called "Tang people" by the people in the countries where they lived. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, some of them were called "China people", "China people" and "Guangdong and Fujian people".
Most people in China can speak Chinese. In East Asia, Chinese (or China people) in countries where the majority of Han people live can generally speak Chinese (including Chinese dialects) and read Chinese. Outside Asia, except for the first generation of Chinese immigrants, most of the second and third generation Chinese (including mixed-race Chinese) rarely read Chinese, or can only speak spoken Chinese, or even don't know Chinese at all, and can only communicate in the local language.
Overseas Chinese are natural persons with China nationality who have settled abroad. It does not include people who travel and visit abroad, workers and technicians sent by the government to other countries to assist in construction, public servants and overseas students sent by the state.
People of China descent who have joined or acquired foreign nationality cannot be regarded as overseas Chinese. Overseas Chinese are citizens of People's Republic of China (PRC), enjoying the rights of citizens of China and fulfilling their corresponding obligations according to law. The Constitution of China clearly stipulates that it is the responsibility of the China government to protect the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese.
