According to statistics, there are many China people living abroad, especially in Europe and America, which has reached 50 million, and nearly 30 million compatriots from Chinese mainland, Taiwan Province, Hongkong and Macao. "Many of them have a fine tradition of respecting their ancestors and loving the motherland. They are valuable root-seeking tourism wealth and should be highly valued by us. " Zhou Jian, a member of CPPCC and an associate professor at Xuchang University, has been engaged in tourism research and has achieved fruitful results. His conversation with reporters began with the topic of tourism.

Member Zhou Jian said that last year, the relevant departments in Xuchang strengthened communication through various channels, got in touch with compatriots from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and overseas Chinese in Southeast Asian countries, and successfully held the World Hui clan culture research conference and economic and trade fair, which achieved a win-win situation in social and economic benefits and had a positive impact at home and abroad. This gives us an enlightenment: it is a shortcut to serve the center of economic construction to develop tourism and attract investment by seeking roots as the carrier.

Xuchang has a long history, from which many surnames originated. First of all, we must find out which surnames originated from Xuchang. What are the remains of these surnames in Xuchang? Where is the exact location of the ancestors? After years of painstaking research, members believe that at least Xu, Zhong and Fang originated from Xuchang, while Chen, Xun and Fan originated from Xuchang. These research results have been widely recognized by academic circles.

On how to develop root-seeking tourism well, the Committee members believe that it is necessary to make full use of the research results of "Clock and Square Out of Xuchang" that have been basically determined by the academic circles and make careful planning, so that the development can be started this year and next.

"Of course, because root-seeking tourism has just started in our city, there are still many problems to be solved urgently." The Committee member said frankly that it is still unclear about the specific location of the surname hometown, and the ancestral home of Xunjia is Babai. It is hoped that the relevant departments will strengthen protection and lay a good foundation for future root-seeking activities. Another problem is the lack of investors. The development of root-seeking tourism resources depends not only on the government, but also on private investors. It is suggested to set up a root-seeking travel agency to manage root-seeking tourism, and the government can give appropriate support. Of course, there are still some problems. For example, in recent years, although the soft and hard environment in our city has been greatly improved, there are still many unsatisfactory places. Once, I accompanied a Malaysian root-seeking group to Fuling Park. Due to river pollution, the air is filled with pungent smell, and many guests return halfway before arriving at the park. Therefore, I suggest to intensify the efforts to build "three cities", implement the project of clear water and blue sky, build Xuchang brand with beautiful environment, and attract more people at home and abroad to visit Xuchang and invest in it.
