Brief introduction of Li Baochun.

Li Baochun, male, an old Peking Opera student. My ancestral home is Ba County, Hebei Province. Grandfather, father Li, mother.

At the age of nine, he was trained by his grandfather. At the age of ten, he entered the Peking Opera School, inherited his father's style and specialized in civil and military veterans. After eight years of teaching, I studied under the headmaster Ma and teachers such as Wang Shaolou, Xu Yuanshan, Qian Yuanshun, Ru, Ru Shaozuo, etc., and my civil and military skills are solid. 1969 graduated. In the 1970s, he played Li in the model play Du Fu Shan. In the early 1980s, he joined China Peking Opera Theatre and performed with Yuan Shihai and Yang Chunxia.

Immigrated to the United States after the mid-1980s, and worked in Taiwan Province Province since the early 1990s.

1990 Join the Peking Opera Promotion Group of Gu Gongliang Cultural and Educational Foundation. He remembers his father's strict and capable guidance in art and profound and heartfelt advice in life. He is self-motivated, innovative and diligent. Up to 2000, more than two works have performed 44 new and old plays, with nearly 200 performances. The experience of tossing and turning did not make him relax or give up the idea of inheriting his father's business. 1997 Taipei New Theater Company was established.

1983 was awarded the honorary doctor of Italian Northern Theatre Academy. 1987 was awarded the Outstanding Asian Artist by Lincoln Center in new york, USA. 1995 was invited to give a special speech at the 26th annual meeting of UNESCO-International Theatre Association. At present, he is a full-time associate professor in the Department of Drama in China, Chinese Culture University, a part-time teacher in the Department of Drama in Taiwan Province Provincial University, and the head of the Taipei New Theater. He not only actively promoted innovative plays, but also devoted himself to the arrangement, transplantation and performance of traditional plays, and led a delegation to visit Europe, the United States and Japan many times.

He has a clear voice and is both civil and military. He is good at performing repertoires: playing the Golden Brick, the Wild Pig Forest, Huarong Road, the War of Peace, Noisy Heaven, Sanchakou and so on.
