6. Proof of deposit and credit card bill. Proof of deposit is very important, and any bank that directly opens an account can open it on the spot. You don't need to apply for so many deposits in China. Personally, I suggest 200 dollars/day or more.

7. Some consulates (not needed in France) will require SSN, so remember to bring SSN cards.

8. Travel itinerary (including booking air tickets to and from Europe).

9. Insurance. Just leave the date in Schengen. Pay attention to the minimum of 50 thousand dollars.

Consular officials suggest buying and booking round-trip air tickets to Europe, which can be done on many websites, such as Ctrip.

Personally, if the application materials are not badly hurt, you can consider paying a cheap air ticket before applying for a visa. Because the application rate in the United States is really high. Of course, this is my personal suggestion. If you are afraid of risks, please don't pay.

If you are staying in a hotel, you need a confirmation form. There are many hotels with free cancellations in Booking.com, which are recommended. Because it is possible to change the itinerary.

Many consulates do not need to provide any transportation routes within Europe. The French consulate made it clear that it was not needed. Consult the consulate you want to apply for.

Make a picture of the travel route. It is suggested to use excel to do it in chronological order, which is clear at a glance. Indicate the length of your stay in each country.

Prepare the materials needed by the consulate (see the next section).

Make an appointment for a consular interview. This can also be put in the first step, because some consulates are really extremely inefficient. In order to avoid the embarrassment of not being able to make an appointment, first contact the consulate to confirm that they are efficient, and then consider whether to apply for a visa for this country.

Book transportation and accommodation hotels to and from the consulate city. Just arrive on time or earlier. There is absolutely no need to arrive too early.

According to the regulations, there are two situations in China:

The country that applied for the most stay. For example, entry to Spain, Spain 2 days+France 5 days+Germany 4 days+Switzerland 2 days = French visa.

If the stay in each country is the same, apply for the first entry country. For example, entry to Spain, Spain 3 days+France 3 days+Germany 3 days+Switzerland 3 days = Spanish visa.

Please pay special attention to:

If you travel by cruise, you need to apply for a visa from the country where the cruise leaves. For example, if Spain enters the country, Spain 1 day+Netherlands 1 day +6 days, Amsterdam-Norway cruise = Netherlands visa.

However, the cruise itinerary is only a small part of the itinerary, and the first and second articles have regulations. For example, Spain's entry, Spain 2 days+France 5 days+Germany 4 days+Netherlands 2 days +6 days. Cruise from Amsterdam to Norway = French visa.

If you don't know the main destination country of your trip, be sure to contact the relevant consulate in advance! !

Personal advice:

When determining the itinerary, consider applying for consulates of big countries, such as Germany, France, Spain and Italy. Because of the large number of visa applicants from big countries, the efficiency is relatively high.

The consulate in Houston, Spain, does not answer the phone, email, download forms or make an appointment for an interview. Please don't apply for this consulate.

Reservations made by the French consulate in the United States are all made online, and passports are usually received the next day after face-to-face signing, which is efficient and recommended.

The German consulate is also very efficient, answering emails on the same day. Recommend a try.
