Sadness and helplessness of an era: the war between Britain and Zu.

In 1823, Chaka Zulu, the founder of Zulu Kingdom, swept around more than 1 tribes in ten years and established a huge Zulu Kingdom. His iron-fisted political and military reforms made the Zulu clan invincible, but the ten-year civil war also cost other tribes nearly 2 million people. It can be said that the pedestal of the Zulu kingdom was built on the bones of other tribes.

In 1827, Chaka Zulu's mother died, which made him insane for a time, thus killing 7, tribesmen in one breath. The following year, "Chaka Zulu" was assassinated by his half-brother. It is said that his last words before he died were "White people are coming!"

Sure enough, with the arrival of the era of great navigation, this new kingdom was exposed to the guns of white people, first the immigrants from Holland and Germany, and then the British army with full arms.

in 1879, the British deliberately provoked the war, and a large number of British troops marched into Zulu, and the war between Britain and Zulu broke out. Although the brave Zulu warriors have excellent physical fitness and combat skills, these advantages can return to zero when facing the rows of dark muzzle of the British army. Hundreds of Zulu soldiers fell in front of the crude fortifications of the British army and never got up again.

This is the most helpless sorrow of that era. When the once mighty Manchu fighters of the Qing Empire mounted their horses again and rushed to the enemy lines smartly, they were greeted by desperate and helpless death instead of each other's scurrying back.

Thus, the "Zulu Kingdom" became a British colony until South Africa became independent in 1961.
