According to Article 10 of the State Council Regulations, "One-year endorsement of residence permit 1 time", the validity period of residence permit is unified as one year.

Holders of residence permits who have lived continuously in their places of residence shall, within 1 year ago 1 month from the date of residence, go through the formalities of endorsement with one of their identity cards, residence permits, residential address, employment and schooling, and go to the service management institutions of floating population in the towns, streets (or communities) of their places of residence.

If the town, street (or community) floating population service management institution approves the residence permit endorsement to meet the requirements, the validity period of the residence permit will be rewritten on the spot. If the endorsement formalities are not completed within the time limit, the use function of residence permit will be suspended; If the endorsement formalities are completed, the use function of the residence permit will be restored, and the residence period of the residence permit holder will be continuously calculated from the date of the endorsement formalities.
