The Natural Location Advantage of Wujiang River Basin Development

(1), the annual runoff of Wujiang River is relatively stable. The leading reservoir of Hongjiadu Hydropower Station can be built in the upstream, which can be adjusted for many years. The Wujiangdu Hydropower Station in the middle reaches can be adjusted for many years, and the output can be improved after cascade transportation, so the power quality is high.

(2) Wujiang River Basin has good topographic and geological conditions, belonging to canyon reservoirs and power stations, with less inundation and resettlement, relatively less engineering quantity, shorter construction period and less investment;

(4) Wujiang River Basin is rich in mineral resources, with many varieties, high grade and large reserves, among which the reserves of aluminum, phosphorus and manganese account for 18%, 19% and10/%respectively, and cheap electric energy can promote the development of mineral resources;
