Age requirements for a master's visa to study in the United States

1. Studying abroad at one's own expense is not limited by academic qualifications and age. Anyone who has the conditions can apply to go abroad to study at a university (junior college, undergraduate course), graduate or pursue further studies at his own expense.

2. Middle school graduates and self-funded college students who apply for studying abroad at their own expense can go through the formalities of studying abroad at their own expense with relevant supporting materials directly to the public security organ where their household registration is located.

3. College students and graduates (with college education or above) at public expense may apply for studying abroad at their own expense after serving in China for a certain number of years or repaying compensation for higher education. (Length of service: five years for undergraduate graduates, three years for graduate students, and two years for junior college and adult college graduates; Training fee reimbursement: junior college students 1, 2 undergraduate students in 500 yuan, 4,000 yuan for master students and 6,000 yuan for doctoral students. )

4. Doctoral students go abroad to do postdoctoral research at their own expense, and do not charge higher education training fees.

5. In addition to the above conditions, studying abroad at one's own expense should also meet the following conditions: First, obtaining sufficient foreign exchange aid or foreign scholarships through proper legal procedures, that is, holding economic guarantees provided by relatives and friends (which must be recognized by the country where you go), or holding scholarships or grants provided by foreign universities, scientific research institutions or foundations. Foreign exchange subsidies or foreign scholarships should be able to maintain their study and life abroad. Secondly, you should master foreign languages well.

Procedures and related regulations

After receiving the admission ticket and foreign exchange subsidy certificate, if I am a student or an on-the-job employee, I must first apply to my unit or school, and the unit or school should sign an opinion. Then I go to the local public security department to apply for a passport abroad with the relevant materials and the certificate signed by the unit. The public security department will give a reply and issue a passport according to the relevant regulations. I apply for an entry visa at the embassy or consulate of the country I want to go to with my passport.

College students, undergraduates and graduate students in institutions of higher learning retain their school status for one year after going abroad. Self-funded overseas students who are studying abroad for postgraduate studies can be transferred to self-funded public schools if they wish, and the China embassies and consulates abroad will issue the Certificate of Overseas Students Sent by the State without changing their passports and visas.

Studying abroad at one's own expense is accepted by the local public security department. Students or employees who apply for studying abroad at their own expense shall be signed by the school or unit.
