Basic situation of Nanzi District

Nanzi District is located at the northern end of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan Province Province, bordering Ziguan District, Qiaotou District and Yanchao District in the north, Renwu District and Dajie District in the east, Taiwan Province Strait in the west and Zuoyingqu District in the south. This area is located at the northern foot of Shoushan and Banping Mountain. Nanzi District was originally named Nanzaikeng, so Nanmu was planted all over the stream, so the Han immigrants who moved here called it Nanzaikeng. Immigrants from Zhangzhou and Quanzhou, Fujian Province, began to reclaim land here in the Ming Dynasty and gradually became settlements in the Qing Dynasty. 、

Nanzaikeng branch was established here in the early days of Japanese occupation. 1920, Taiwan Province province was restructured and renamed Nanzi. Nanzi Village was established and placed under the jurisdiction of Okayama County, Kaohsiung State. 1943 Nanzi Village was abandoned and transferred to Kaohsiung City to establish Nanzi District. Puppet puppet show is one of the most common folk opera performances in many early occasions of welcoming temple fairs in Taiwan Province. Puppet puppets originated in Quanzhou, Fujian. Originally, it was just a simple stage with a small wooden pavilion and blue cloth hanging on it. It was not until the Qing Dynasty that elaborate stages and puppets were exhibited, and it developed into a popular folk drama from the Qing Dynasty. Puppet puppetry was introduced into Taiwan Province Province from Fujian during the reign of Daoguang and Xianfeng. The Beiguan Opera, which was brought into the hustle and bustle by the former Tangshan master, entered the folk life with its sonorous rhythm and stunt performances such as horse racing, sparring, window jumping and array posing. The puppet show has been completely localized, but it has also lost the essence of simple local slang. Up to now, there are still more than 400 puppet shows in Taiwan Province Province, of which Yunlin County accounts for one sixth, and there are two important schools, which can be called the important town of puppet shows in Taiwan Province Province. Under the trend of seeking the root of local culture, many puppet show cultural relics museums have been established in north and south China, and many primary school students' troupes have also been set up to spread traditional arts.

Gezi opera

It is a Minnan opera based on Minnan singers and absorbs the nutrition of Liyuan Opera, Beiguan Opera, Gaojia Opera, Chaoju Opera and Peking Opera. In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, when the national heroes returned to Taiwan, they brought the popular folk song "Jin" to Taiwan Province, and soon it was widely sung in Taiwan Province. The masses spontaneously organized song clubs and opera troupes to sing Jin songs. At the beginning of the 20th century, Taiwanese opera flourished on the island of Taiwan Province Province, and soon spread to Xiamen, and quickly spread to places where overseas Chinese live in southern Fujian and Southeast Asia. Taiwanese opera, also known as Taiwan Province Taiwanese opera, is a local opera cultivated and loved by compatriots in Taiwan Province Province and Fujian people.
