Is Suzhou an immigrant city?

First, Taizhou and Xinghua are at least very close, and they are the cities with the closest culture.

In 920 AD, Xinghua County was established, and a part of it was separated from Taizhou to establish Xinghua County. Therefore, Taizhou and Xinghua are an organic whole, with Taizhou first and Xinghua later.

There are some differences between Taizhou dialect (downtown) and Xinghua dialect. But in a big way, it is similar. The national dialects are divided into eight major dialect areas, and Xinghua dialect belongs to northern dialect area, Jianghuai sub-dialect (Jianghuai Mandarin) and Tairu dialect. Although Xinghua has long been subordinate to Yangzhou, Taizhou is closer to Xinghua in dialect and folk culture.

Dialect is an important reason why Xinghua people despise Taizhou. Because Taizhou dialect is close to Xinghua South dialect. Xinghua people always dismiss it as "country dialect". This is your despicable and serious exposure. There is no distinction between high and low dialects. It is a bad habit for city dwellers to look down on rural people, so they look down on neighboring cities as frogs in the well!

To tell the truth, in other places, when everyone speaks Putonghua, only Taizhou people and Xinghua people have the closest influence on Putonghua, and they are almost indistinguishable.

Some people are proud that many families in Xinghua immigrated from Suzhou and have the genes of Jiangnan culture. From this perspective, there are definitely more Suzhou people in Taizhou than Xinghua people. The so-called Suzhou immigrants mainly indicate that Zhu Yuanzhang moved Suzhou (Wu Dong) residents to Jianghuai area on a large scale in the early days, which was called "Hongwu drove them away" in history. Most people were rushed to Fengyang, Zhu Yuanzhang's hometown, and a few went to northern Jiangsu. The cause of this incident is Zhang Shicheng. Counting, Zhang Shicheng is from Xinghua, but history books generally record him as a man from Caoyan, Taizhou. More importantly, after the Zhang Shicheng Uprising, I stayed in Xinghua City for a short time and in Taizhou for a long time. There were many Taizhou people under his command, and many people followed him to Suzhou, so many people fled back to Taizhou after the failure. It can be seen that these historical facts are not enough to show that Xinghua is nobler than Taizhou, only the opposite-forget it.

Second, "Xinghua people are western-style, Taizhou people are old-fashioned"?

Aside from history, Taizhou has always been a city, and Xinghua has long been a county. Although Taizhou is a county-level city, it has a long history. At least since liberation, most of the time is the organizational system of the city.

Taizhou's industrial products were naturally inferior to Shanghai and Nanjing in the past planned economy era, but they were still very famous in Yangzhou and Nantong along the river in northern Jiangsu. I remember that many daily light industrial products were produced in Taizhou in the past. When you can't get "Made in Shanghai", it's still unsatisfactory. At least it can be compared with Qingjiang (Huaiyin City). At that time, Nantong's light industrial products were also good, but Yangzhou was much worse. Xinghua's local daily-use industry didn't start at all!

Santai area (Taizhou, Taixian and Taixing) is an active area in history, and its economic level has always been higher than Xinghua. Even in the era of "grain as the key link", Xinghua still has certain advantages as an agricultural grain producing area, but its parent production is still high in Santai area. I remember that in the 1970s, the goal of agricultural development was to "exceed the outline", and the maternal output was 800 kg (the outline in the south of the Yangtze River refers to 1000 kg, and the area north of Huaihe River is 600 kg). The advanced model of super-class is the Heheng Brigade of three stations. At that time, the slogan was: "learn from Dazhai, rush across the river, and surpass the outline!" "Xinghua, as a grain-producing area, didn't think there was anything wrong with learning advanced rivers. Recently, I saw that Heheng Lao is advanced on the Internet, and now the construction of ecological zone is very impressive, and it is still a model.

As for the great wave of economic development since the 1980s, the rise of Taizhou economy and the birth of a number of large enterprises such as Chunlan, their influence in the whole country is incomparable to Xinghua.

Within Xinghua, it is also the south township that is richer than the north township. Dai Nan's prosperity has a history. Dai Nan is a cotton-producing area and has always been relatively rich. Of course, in the development of post-80s township enterprises, Dai Nan has done better and the economy has reached a higher level. In contrast, as a county town, Zhaoyang Town established a large number of industrial bases in the 1960s and 1970s. By the early 1980s, there were no fewer than ten enterprises with more than 1000 employees, such as tractor factory, gear factory, slaughterhouse, fertilizer factory, phosphate fertilizer factory, cement product factory, Jinling Shipyard, Xinxing Glass Factory, Textile Machinery Factory, Qingfeng Glass Factory, Motor Factory and components factory. In the name of reform and reorganization, the United States has actually "started a new stove" and most of them have gone bankrupt. What a pity!

In terms of the economic situation of the county seat, Xinghua may not be worse than the county seat in Santai area in the 1970s, but now it is dwarfed! I have seen the rankings several times, whether it is the ranking of economic indicators or the ranking of educational indicators. As a Xinghua person, my face is red and my heart is beating. Because it is far from the surrounding cities! Economic indicators are almost at the bottom of the province (Xinghua has several counties at the bottom)!

Xinghua's so-called foreign flavor is probably related to the atmosphere in the 1970 s. At that time, Xinghua was greatly influenced by Shanghai and its clothes were very fashionable. Xinghua people are proud of this. But we haven't been to Santai area seriously, so won't their county towns catch up with the trend of Shanghai? Judging from the current level of economic development, the living standard in Santai definitely far exceeds that in Xinghua. Now that the economy is developing and the aesthetic concepts are diversified, it is probably a little uncomfortable to look at others with your own habits. I think it is an illusion to think that others are rustic.

The "three people" we saw were basically farmers. Therefore, it is ridiculous and superficial to often put the impression of farmers on three city people.

Xinghua people have narcissistic complex. I think everything is local, except Shanghai of course! As the old saying goes, Zhaoyang has avoided soldiers since ancient times. Xinghua is a water network area, with closed traffic and insufficient vision. Xinghua people really lack the courage of three people to dare to go out and break into the world. I hope that now that the traffic has improved, this ideology can be changed.

Thirdly, belonging to Taizhou is a historical regret of Xinghua.

1982, Jiangsu took the lead in implementing the merger of cities. Xinghua was changed from a subordinate county of Yangzhou to a subordinate county of Yangzhou. Yangzhou is a famous historical city in China, and it is also a government city that has been governing Xinghua for a long time in history. Being a "Yangzhou person" is the wish of most Xinghua people. However, when Yangzhou and Taizhou were separated, Xinghua was returned to Taizhou, which was a great pity.

There is another reason for this regret. In the initial plan, there was also the consideration of upgrading Xinghua during the discussion. If Xinghua, Gaoyou, Baoying, Dongtai and Dafeng form a prefecture-level city, Xinghua may also be the seat of the municipal government. The only regret is that Xinghua's economic situation is very poor, almost struggling on the edge of poverty-stricken counties, and it is difficult to undertake the heavy responsibility of prefecture-level cities. In the final analysis, it is the political decline caused by Xinghua's own economic decline, and no one can blame anyone. In 1970s, Gao (Gaoyou) Bao (Baoying) Xing (Xinghua), as a film in Yangzhou, was often starred by Xinghua. For example, the tractor factory is a regional cooperation, and the final assembly is placed in Xinghua, which means that the focus is on Xinghua. Unfortunately, the tractor factory in Xinghua has not developed into an automobile factory, but has become an extension of the rich alley and a residential area!

The regret after joining Taizhou is not only the gossip of ordinary people, but also the object of many cadres' complaints. It is often called "city governing county" and "city scraping county". Most notably, Dainan dialect is popular in the compound of the municipal government (the former county government), not the local dialect. It's embarrassing that even the cadres born and raised in this city have to change their tune in the compound. The reason here is, of course, the "radiation power" of Dai Nan's economy, and I'm afraid there is also the motivation of leading cadres from the three stations.

In fact, everything is a process and everything is changing. The fundamental problem is the economy. As long as the economy develops, other issues seem to be unimportant.

Fourth, the confusion of self-identity: am I from Taizhou?

If you do a questionnaire survey, how many people say they are from Taizhou when introducing their native place? I am afraid the percentage is very low.

The problem is that Xinghua's return to Taizhou is a fait accompli, and it is not easy to change the administrative subordinate relationship. Starting from the concept of big Taizhou, we are indeed "Taizhou people". Of course, from the perspective of small Taizhou, some of us "Taizhou people" are not authentic enough.

But this problem is not very important in other places, especially in other provinces. From the perspective of people from other provinces, you are from Taizhou! Even, as long as you know that they are from Jiangsu, it is enough!

Taizhou, as a prefecture-level city or a new city, is also under construction. Moreover, Taizhou City has received special attention from the * * department because of the * * factor. Taizhou Railway Station is an example. It can be predicted that Taizhou has great development potential. Taizhou will surely become the economic center city along the Yangtze River in northern Jiangsu.

Villagers in Xinghua, stop complaining and complain. The past is often gone forever, and the new can be chased. Hurry to Taizhou to find development opportunities! If you really love your hometown Xinghua and have accumulated capital and experience in Taizhou, it is not too late to come to Xinghua again. The development of Xinghua is also inseparable from the overall economic environment construction in Taizhou. In other words, the development of Taizhou is a historical opportunity for the development of Xinghua.
