Fuchuan County in Guangxi belongs to Hezhou City.

Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County is affiliated to Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in the northeast of Guangxi, between the two remaining ridges of Dupang and Mengzhu at the junction of Hunan, Guangxi and Guangdong provinces, and connects Jianghua, Hunan Province to the east. The Yao Autonomous County is bounded by Zhongshan County to the south, Gongcheng County to the west, and Jiangyong County of Hunan Province to the north.

Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County is the "Hometown of Longevity in China". The county was first established in the Han Dynasty. There are many historical and cultural heritages in the area such as ancient villages, houses, stone bridges, archways, castles, etc. Within the territory is Xiushui, Chaodong Town Zhuangyuan Village is one of the key ethnic customs tourism routes in the country. Historical evolution:

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, in January 1950, the Fuchuan People's Government was established, located in Fuyang Town, and belongs to Pingle District of Guangxi Province.

In April 1953, Fuchuan and Zhongshan counties were abolished and Fuzhong County was merged to govern Zhongshan, which belongs to Pingle District.

In July 1958, it was changed to Wuzhou Prefecture of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

In July 1961, Fuchuan and Zhongshan were divided.

In March 1962, Fuchuan County was restored and the county people's government was located in Fuyang Town, which belongs to Wuzhou Prefecture.

On August 30, 1983, the State Council approved the establishment of Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County and abolished Fuchuan County.

In July 1997, the State Council approved the abolition of Wuzhou District and the establishment of Hezhou District. Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County is under the jurisdiction of Hezhou District.

On July 1, 2002, the State Council approved the removal of land and the establishment of a city, and the establishment of prefecture-level Hezhou City. Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County is under the jurisdiction of Hezhou City.
