Taoyuan Township is located in the center of Baihe County, with east longitude 109 52 minutes and north latitude 32 53 minutes. It borders maoping town in the southeast, Xiao Shuang Township and Mahu Township in the northwest, with a length of10km from east to west and a width of 7.8km from north to south. The township has a total area of 59.6 square kilometers and an altitude of 350- 1260 meters.
