I am a self-taught undergraduate. I had a make-up exam when I was in junior college. Now I want to go to New Zealand for graduate study. What should I do?

I hope I can help you!

1. Generally, graduate students need an undergraduate degree certificate! Moreover, some schools do not recognize self-taught undergraduate degrees. College grades will definitely have an impact on your choice of school. For New Zealand, polytechnic and private schools may be more relaxed in this respect!

2. Graduate students in New Zealand need an IELTS score of 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in a single subject). If the language is not up to standard, you have to take a language class. If you change your major a lot, or the school thinks that your previous academic ability can't meet the requirements of graduate school, you will be allowed to take the 1 year bridge class.

3. Take the IELTS test! GRE New Zealand generally does not require it! Of course, if you have grades, you can also give them to the school for reference!

4. Skilled immigrants in New Zealand are graded, and the Immigration Bureau stipulates that 100 can be shortlisted, and 140 can be passed. If you graduate with a master's degree in two years, you can get 75 points, 30 points for age 20-29 and 25 points for age 30-39. If you are seated in the right place, there is basically no problem in being shortlisted. As long as you find a job that matches your major, you can apply for skilled migration immediately.
