You stayed in the United States for a month, which is good, not more than a year. You are eligible to apply for political asylum. If you apply for political asylum in pro-immigrant cities like new york and LA, the success rate is very high, above 80%.

You came to America from F 1 If you want to apply for political asylum, you can continue studying without giving up your F 1 status, but in this case, you will only have an interview when you apply for political asylum. If you fail in the interview, you can't go to court and continue your study as you F 1. I didn't find a job after reading, and returned to China after OPT.

If you are willing to give up your F 1 status temporarily and not study, then you can apply for political asylum, and even if you fail in the first interview, you can get a green card when you go to court.
