What is a stateless person?

A stateless person refers to a person who is not regarded as a national by the laws of any country, has no nationality or does not belong to any country. Stateless persons do not enjoy the diplomatic protection of any country internationally.

In other words, you don't have to bear the obligations of any country, and of course you won't be protected by any country. He will be deported at any time and will not get social security in his later years. Therefore, stateless people are harmful to nothing, and some people even have dual or triple nationality in order to get more benefits.

China's Nationality Law stipulates that after legally becoming a stateless person, the relevant departments shall issue corresponding certificates to him. This certificate is equivalent to a foreigner's passport. Foreigners buy houses in China without hukou, but they have passports.

Stateless people often appear among refugees, and their rights and interests are often violated, so there are international conventions to reduce statelessness. The government of China has promised the rights and interests of stateless persons, but despite the friendly government of China, the rights and interests of stateless persons in some countries are still not guaranteed.

According to China's nationality law, there are reasonable reasons to apply for statelessness, and this matter is under the control of the Public Security Bureau. After becoming a stateless person, you can enjoy the treatment of foreigners in some aspects, but at the same time you will lose your nationality. Not to mention that you don't have the right to vote and stand for election, first of all, your living conditions are getting more and more harsh, because your work has to be approved by the Foreign Experts Bureau. Just like foreign experts, general units have no right to hire foreign experts, and of course they are not allowed to hire you. When you become a foreign expert, your work contract is generally limited, and you are not allowed to work outside the contract period. As a stateless person, you can't represent a lawsuit at present, but you must abide by the laws of China. China won't expel you, because you can't go anywhere without a passport and a visa issued by a foreign government. You can be a refugee, but expelling refugees involves political influence, which is not the policy of the China government.
