Therefore, Meizhou, Guangdong Province does not belong to Chaoshan area. Meizhou is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, located in the northeast of Guangdong Province, at the junction of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces. Chaoshan area is located in the southeast coast of Guangdong Province.
