Process and renewal requirements of study visa in Thailand
First, the steps to apply for a study visa in Thailand
Step 1: Apply for a study abroad program in Thailand.
The application process of different institutions will be different. Shi Lan University in Thailand and Chia Tai School of Management in Thailand can apply for studying abroad directly through the domestic regional service centers. Required materials: registration form, notarized graduation certificate or letter, notarized graduation report card, passport, recommendation letter, etc.
Step 2: Get the admission notice.
Once your application for studying in Thailand is successfully accepted, Shi Lan University College in Thailand or Chia Tai School of Management in Thailand will issue an admission notice. The admission notice will be printed with the school's logo, your name and passport number, the professional name you choose, and finally the leader's confirmation signature. It symbolizes that you have been admitted to this program, and invites you to start studying abroad at Shi Lan University in Thailand or Chia Tai School of Management in Thailand within the specified date.
The admission notice is not only a ticket to enter the school, but also a ticket to apply for a student visa. Thailand's one-year study visa will only be granted to those who really want to study abroad, not those who want to visit Thailand during the holidays. So you need to register for at least 3 courses each semester to prove that you are an international student rather than a traveler.
Step 3: Apply for a visa.
With the letter of admission, you need a passport valid for more than half a year and a recent passport-sized photo to apply for a study visa in embassies and consulates in China, Thailand.
If you apply for a tourist visa and go to Thailand, because the tourist visa allows you to stay in Thailand for 60 days, it is best to change it into a study visa within the first 30 days, and the next 30 days need to be reserved for applying for a non-immigrant ed visa.
Step 4: Your visa is valid for 90 days.
It is particularly important to note that the validity of the first application for a study visa is only 90 days, which means that you need to renew it at the immigration office in Thailand within these 90 days. However, only if the visa is valid for less than 30 days will the Immigration Bureau accept it.
After knowing how to deal with it, about the role of having Thailand: you can study here, but you can't work here, you can only study in Thailand.
Step 5: 90-day registration requirements
No matter how long you stay in Thailand, you need to report to the Immigration Bureau of Thailand every 90 days and provide your current address. Just fill out a simple form for free. After that, you will receive a notification receipt indicating the date of the next report. If you miss the scheduled date, you will be punished.
