The Historical Evolution of Wangying Town

The Ming and Qing Dynasties belonged to Yongfuli and Anleli in Anfeng Township, Xingguo Prefecture. In 1926, after the Northern Expeditionary Army conquered Yangxin, it was called Fengshan District.

During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, it was also called Fengshan District from 1929 to 1931. It has jurisdiction over Pengshi Temple Township, Taiping Township, Cunninghamia lanceolata Township, Great Lakes Region and Southern Song Dynasty Township. From 1931 to 1934, it was called Taiping District (Ten Districts) and Youcai District (Eleven Districts).

during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, it was called Yongqing Township, fourth area. From May to September, 1945, the Central * * * Yang (New) Tong (Mountain) County Committee and Yang (New) Tong (Mountain) Anti-Japanese Democratic Government were established.

There are Guohe Township (named after the martyr Wu Guohe), Wangying Township, Taiping Township, Dongyuan Township (Hengxi), Cunninghamia lanceolata Township, Gubao Township and Dahu Township in the area.

In November p>1958, Sanxi District was changed to Dongfeng People's Commune, and in July 1961, it was renamed Sanxi District, which has jurisdiction over the State People's Commune and Wangying People's Commune.

In February, 1984, the abandoned commune was established as Wangying District, which had jurisdiction over Guohe Township, Wangying Township, Cunninghamia lanceolata Township and Dongyuan Township. In September 1987, the original Wangying district was divided into three townships: Wangying, Dongyuan, Guohe, and the Township People's Government was established.
