Where does Xiangtan Village belong?

Xiangtan Village, located in the southeast of sankou town, is the resettlement village of Taiping Lake. The immigrant population accounts for 98%, which is adjacent to Baiguoshu, Lianzhong, Wang Jiaqiao and Xianglian respectively, and borders Tanjiaqiao Town in the southeast. The villagers mainly live in the old street (Jindun Street), and some villagers live together with Baiguoshu and Lianzhong in this town. Provincial Highway 103 passes through Jing Quan, and Machuan River winds from south to north in front of the village, with superior geographical location and convenient transportation. Another mountain farm with an area of 14000 mu is located in Xinming Township, and there is a 500-mu monkey kui base in the waiting pit of Xinming Township-Sandongmen monkey kui base.

In recent years, based on the reality of Xiangtan Village, with the bold development and hard work of a group of people from the two committees of the village, the Taiping Monkey Kui Seedling Base and Wujiakeng Monkey Kui Base have been built in this town. The tea produced is of good quality and exported to Hong Kong, Macao and other places. In 2007, the per capita income of villagers reached 5000 yuan. At the same time, transportation, service industry and other secondary and tertiary industries are developed, and the collective economy is dominated by forestry.

Xiangtan Village is adjacent to Baiguoshu Village, Lianzhong Village, Xianglian Village and Wang Jiaqiao Village.

In April 2020, Xiangtan Village was included in the list of the fifth batch of civilized villages and towns in Anhui Province.
