Do I need a Chinese visa to apply as an international student at Tsinghua University?

Tsinghua University and Peking University have their own detailed regulations for international students to apply for graduate studies. Tsinghua University

First, submit the online application on the official website of the International Student Office of Tsinghua University (which can be found with a search engine), print and sign;

The second step is, Make required document submissions. For projects taught in Chinese, applicants should submit a personal statement, academic certificate, undergraduate transcript, HSK test certificate and score report, two letters of recommendation, a passport page containing your personal identity, and GRE/GMAT transcripts according to the school you are applying to;

The third step is to pay the application fee online or in cash (RMB 600 in 2015);

The fourth step is to submit the original application materials and review them, and those who pass will be admitted.

Peking University

For citizens of non-Chinese-speaking countries:

First, apply online on the official website of the "International Students Office of the Department of International Cooperation of Peking University" and print it out .

The second step is to submit the application materials and pay the application fee.

The third step is to submit the materials that pass the preliminary review to the relevant subject departments for re-examination. If they pass the re-examination, they can be invited to participate in the department examination; if they fail the preliminary review, they must re-submit the relevant materials before the specified deadline. After the initial review, the steps will be the same as those who directly passed the first review.

The fourth step is to take the departmental exam.
