What is the concept of IELTS 8.5?
The perfect score is 9, but in July 2007, the British Ministry of Culture and Education issued new regulations. From July 2007, the writing part of IELTS test, like listening and reading, is semi-divided!
This means that if the examiner of writing and speaking level thinks that it is not enough integer file, there will be one and a half points, and it will not fall directly into the next integer file as before.
As a global English language test, IELTS has been recognized by quite a few universities in America. Please note that it is a considerable number, not all, and American universities have higher requirements for IELTS. Most require more than 7 points, many require 6.5 points, and very few require 6 points. Less than 6 points, almost none.
