Were the original inhabitants of Cuba black or white?

The original inhabitants of Cuba were yellow Indians.

Cuba was originally inhabited only by indigenous Indians. During the Spanish colonial period, a large number of African slaves were imported for labor and slave trade, making Cuba a distribution center for black slaves throughout the Americas. Therefore, blacks accounted for almost all of Cuba’s total population. Half of the population is of Spanish descent.

There used to be some ethnic Chinese in Cuba, especially in the capital, Havana, but most of them immigrated to the United States after Fidel Castro came to power.

Ethnicity: 51% mixed (white, black, and Indian ancestry), 37% white, 11% black, 1% Chinese
