Can I get Canadian citizenship if I go to Canada to have a baby?
The legal basis of Canada's birth nationality system is the nationality law.
Anyone born in Canada is a Canadian citizen, that is, regardless of the nationality of parents, the Canadian government recognizes that children are Canadians, which is also the legal basis for everyone to come to Canada to have children. According to Section 3( 1)(a) of Act 1977, anyone born in Canada on or after February 5, 1977 is granted Canadian citizenship at birth.
However, since China does not recognize dual nationality, children can go to school by mouth when they return home after birth. However, the Canadian government recognizes the Canadian nationality of children, so children can choose one nationality and give up another when they reach the age of 18.
