The historical development of Huo surname
From Zhou Wenwang Jichang's sixth son, Uncle Huo, is a country name. The sixth son of King Ji Chang of Zhou Wen, Ji Fa's younger brother, Zhou Wuwang, is Zhou Wuwang's half-brother. After arriving, Guan Shu and Cai Shu colluded with their son Wu Geng to rebel, that is, the "rebellion against Cai" in history. After the failure, Huo Shu was implicated and was abolished as Shu Ren, but Huo Guo still existed, and his son succeeded him as king. It was not until the 16th year of King Hui of Zhou in the Spring and Autumn Period (the 16th year of Ji surname in Jin Xiangong, 6 1 BC) that Huo became a Hooper. Qiu Ji thought that Zhou Chengwang improperly placed his ancestor Huo Shu in the past, so he called himself Huo Gong, which was called "Huo Ai Gong" in history, and changed the count to the duke himself. Since then, descendants have taken the country as their surname, and there are hundreds of Huo's. Therefore, all Chinese people surnamed Huo are descendants of Huo Shuchu. Jin Zhenyou changed Huoguo to Huozhou in the third year (A.D. 12 15), which is the birthplace of Huoguo. The site of ancient fire nation is now Chencun, Bailong Town, and it is the ancestral hall of Huo family. It is a conclusion that Huo is the Huozhou of the world.
Huozhou is the original birthplace of Huo, and it is also the place where Huo established his surname, multiplied and moved. In history, there is an authentic saying that Ji surnamed Huo or Huo. Originated from the place name of Yang Huo Mountain in the Spring and Autumn Period, it belongs to Juyi. Yang Huo was the place where the descendants of Guo lived in the Spring and Autumn Period. And Qin came from the same ancestor, so the address is located near Hanyuan City, Shaanxi Province. The mountain area was called "Huo" at that time, which is now the Xianshan area, commonly known as Tiedingshan. There is a record in the history book Zuo Zhuan's four years of mourning for the public: "attack Liang and Huo." There are Liangnanyang Huoshan and Manzicheng. " In the history book "Biography of the Ram Xi Gong Twenty-one Years", it is also recorded that "must be in Huo". At first, during the reign of Heji, the son Yiwu fled to Liang State and was protected by Liang State. Hou Liang also married his daughter to the son Yiwu, and gave birth to a concubine, the later Duke Huai of Jin. In the 11th year of King Xiang of Zhou Dynasty in the Spring and Autumn Period (64 BC1), he won the bid, sent troops to attack and devour Liang, and his power expanded to both sides of the Yellow River. Therefore, Qin annexed Liang, which naturally aroused Jin's dissatisfaction and triggered a rebellion between Jin and Qin. So Qin Mugong nip in the bud, don't want to set up an enemy like the state of Jin, and support Zhong Er, the son who is friendly with the state of Qin, to return to China as a monarch, for the sake of Jin Wengong.
After the demise of the State of Liang, some people took Juyi as their surname, and the provincial language was simplified to a single surname, Huo. Originated from the official position, from Huoshanling in the Spring and Autumn Period, named after the official position. Huoshan Mausoleum, which was in charge of Huoshan during the Spring and Autumn Period and even the Han Dynasty, is an ancient and long-standing official position. Huoshan is Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue, which was called Tianzhu Mountain in ancient times. History records: "Balance and Huo, there are two in one mountain. Ben Hengshan, a Huoshan. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty moved Yue Shen to Tianzhu, also known as Tianzhu, also known as Huo, so Han has come to Pinghuo. " Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue is called "Huoshan" because the south was regarded as "Huoshan" in ancient times. The classic "White Tiger Tong" notes: "Huo's words also protect it. It is said that the sun uses everything and protects everything. " There is also an explanation in the history book "Custom Yi Tong": "Hengshan, Huoshan people, everything is prosperous, hanging branches and leaves, Huo Ran is the biggest." Huoshan Order, namely Nanyue Order, is one of the five mountains. In the ancient Five Mountains, there were hermits who feared the gods and safeguarded the imperial power, all of whom were sent by the central dynasty government.
Among the descendants of Huoshan Mausoleum, there are those whose surnames are ancestral titles, namely Huo, which has been passed down from generation to generation. It originated from Huo Wei Yan, a warrior who changed his surname in the Five Dynasties. Orphans in the Five Dynasties were adopted by the general Huo Cun, who was called Huo. In the third year of Tiancheng in the late Tang Dynasty (AD 925), Huo died of illness. Ming zong of the late Tang dynasty, who was hunting in Qingzhou at that time, hurried back to North Korea and cried bitterly, stopping singing and dancing for a month. Wei Yan was given as a teacher, and the official was the best, which was called "loyalty to the martial arts". Among the descendants of Huo, they were all called Huo and passed down from generation to generation.
According to Taiping Ji, during the Zhenguan period of Tang Dynasty, Man, one of the seven surnames in Wudu County, was changed to Huo by Emperor Taizong. In addition, during the Ming Dynasty, the name of Yuan officials and Ni Qihan, to whom Zhu Di, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, was attached, was Huo Qiu. Their descendants took the surname given by the emperor as their surname, and they were called Huo's from generation to generation until today. Originated from Mongols, it belongs to Chinese culture and changed its surname to surname. According to the Qing dynasty annals, imperial clan policy, Manchu Eight Banners surname records:
Mongolian Huo Shi, also known as He Shi and Luo Shi, lived in Huerha (now the Russian area opposite the Heihe River in Heilongjiang Province) and Zhalute Banner (now Zhalute Banner in Inner Mongolia). Later, Manchu was taken as the surname, and Manchu was Heyolohala.
After the mid-Qing Dynasty, both Mongolian and Manchu Horosh were given the surname Huo. Originated from Manchu's Han culture, the surname was changed. According to the historical records "Qing Tongzhi Zongpu Manchu Eight Banners Surname Attached" and "Heilongjiang Biography":
(1). The Manchu Gaer Gajia, whose Manchu language is Gaer Ga 'hara, lives in (now Shenyang, Liaoning), and the Han nationality's surname is Huo.
⑵. Manchu Horosh, also known as Shi, Hou, Shi and Hong Ke Luoshi, lived in Songhua River Basin in Manchu, and later many Han surnames were Horosh, Ho and Shi.
(3) Hottor Roche, also known as Huitu's family, whose Manchu language is Lohara, Hottor, and the later Han surnames are Huo's and Bao's.
In addition, Manchu compatriots call their son-in-law "Huo Hehui", which means "Huo Hehui" in Chinese. So the son-in-law who adopted the son-in-law simply called him Huo surname, which is one of the outrageous surnames in Manchu, and some of his descendants changed the Han surname to Huo surname. Other ethnic minorities belong to sinicization and change their surnames to surnames. Today, Tujia, Zhuang, Yi and other ethnic minorities all have members of the Huo clan, and their sources are mostly passed down from generation to generation in the policy of imprisonment and the movement of changing the land into the stream promoted by the central government in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Ji Chu, Huo Shu, known as Huo Shuchu in the world, is the eighth son of Zhou Wenwang Ji Chang and Taisi, the same mother and brother of Zhou Wuwang Ji Fa, and one of the three supervisors in the early Zhou Dynasty. Huo Guo, the vassal state of the Zhou Dynasty (now Huozhou, Shanxi), was the ancestor of Huo.
After Zhou Wuwang destroyed the business, Huo Shu was named Huo Di and Huo Guo was established. Together with Xian and Cai Shu, he assisted and supervised Wu Geng, the son of Shang Dynasty, and jointly managed the adherents of Shang Dynasty, known as the "Three Supervisors" in history.
After Zhou Wuwang's death, his son Zhou Chengwang succeeded to the throne. Zhou Chengwang is young, and Uncle Huo's fourth brother, Zhou Gongdan, is the Regent. Huo Shuchu, Xian and Cai Shu were all dissatisfied with Zhou Gongdan's regency and held Wu Geng hostage to launch a rebellion, which was known as the Three Sword Rebellion. Soon, Zhou Gongdan put down the rebellion, so he killed Guan Shu Xian and Wu Geng, exiled Cai Shu, abolished Huo Shuchu's Shu Ren, and was not allowed to be employed for three years.
After the demise of Huo Guo, the descendants of Huo Shuchu took the country as their surname and called it Huo. Huo's total population is not listed in the top 100 of the hundred surnames in Taiwan Province Province, ranking160th among the hundred surnames in the Song Dynasty and160th in the current surnames list, with a population of about 996,000, accounting for 0.062% of the total population in China.

The history of Huo people's outward migration from Shanxi, their birthplace, began in the Qin and Han Dynasties, and initially migrated to Henan, Hebei, Shandong and other places.
By 1000 years ago in the Song Dynasty, the Huo family had migrated to Guangdong, Hainan, Jiangsu, Fujian and other places.
After Duke Xiang of Jin destroyed Huo, the politics and society of Jin fell into chaos. When the Emperor was offered by the Han Dynasty, there was chaos in the world, warlords scuffled, foreign enemies invaded, things were difficult, disasters continued, dynasties changed, and history books emerged one after another. According to relevant records, the history of Huo's migration from his birthplace began in the Qin and Han Dynasties, and he first migrated to Henan, Hebei, Shandong and other places.
In the Song Dynasty, it began to migrate to Guangdong, Hainan, Jiangsu, Fujian and other places. In Shitou Village, Shi Lan Town, Shiwan District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, there is a Huo ancestral hall in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the Huo clan people living in the coastal areas of Guangdong and Fujian began to migrate to Taiwan Province Province via Penghu Islands, forming the Huo clan in Taiwan Province Province today. The outward migration of the Huo family is not isolated, but it has the same social background as the immigrants from the Central Plains. Zhu Yuanzhang ordered Shanxi immigrants. From the third year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty to the tenth year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1370 ~ 14 16), there were eight migrations in Ming Dynasty. During the Hongwu period of Ming Dynasty, Dahuai Village in Hongdong moved, and some descendants of Huo moved to other places, some went out to live in official residence, or lived in Gansu or Guangdong. According to Huo Xingcheng's article, in the 24th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 139 1), the Huo nationality in Linfen went down to be an official, and let one of their children go to Gansu and Lanzhou to train with Wang Su and Zhu Ying, until the rank of general or vice president. His children are scattered in Jingyuan, Huining and Haiyuan.
In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, Huo moved from Fujian to Taiwan Province.
Today, Huo's descendants have spread all over the country, with footprints all over the world, even all over the world. Huo has many heroes and stories, so when it comes to Huo, people can't help but feel a majestic heroism.
