Yanchuan County is located in the north of Shaanxi Province, northeast of Yan 'an City, 80km away from Yan 'an City, and its geographical coordinates are east longitude10936' 20 "~ road1026' 44" north latitude 363715 ~ 375' 55 ". The county is 74.25 kilometers long from east to west and 5 1.5 kilometers wide from north to south.
