American Marriage Visa What kind of visa do you need to apply for to get married in China?

The spouse of an American citizen who has been married for less than 2 years applies for a CR1 visa, and the spouse who has been married for more than 2 years applies for an IR1 visa.

The spouse of a US green card holder applies for a F2A visa.

the materials required for the above visa application are:

1, Form I-13

2, Form G-325A, one for both husband and wife

3, two visa photos for both sides

4, a copy of the applicant's passport/green card

5. A notarized copy of divorce is required

7. A cheque with an application fee of 42 yuan

Note:

1. If an American citizen has lived in China for 6 months and has a residence permit or a Z work visa, he can stay at the Beijing/Guangzhou embassy where the residence permit is issued.

2. Green card holders can only apply to the US Immigration Service by mail.

3. It takes about 2-4 months from the application to the face-to-face interview for domestic applications, about 1-12 months for the later stage of mailing to the US Immigration Bureau, and about 3-5 months for traditional applications.

4. The scheduling of F2A is about one and a half years now. After the scheduling, you can choose electronic processing or traditional processing, and the time from scheduling to post-processing is similar to that of CR1/IR1.
