Project details of Huangjinxia Hydropower Station in Yangxian County

Huangjinxia Hydropower Station is the first cascade hydropower station in the upper reaches of the Han River and the only large and medium-sized hydropower station planned by Hanzhong City where Yangxian County is located (Note: Generally, hydropower stations with installed capacity below 5,000 kilowatts are designated as small hydropower stations, 500-654.38+ 10,000 kilowatts are medium-sized hydropower stations, and 6,543.8+10,000 kilowatts are large hydropower stations, exceeding 6,543.8+10,000 kilowatts. The dam site of the power station is located about 2 kilometers downstream of the Golden Gorge Pot Beach at the end of Shiquan Hydropower Station on the main stream of the Han River. The reservoir area involves six towns in Yangxian County, namely Jinxia, Sangxi, Jinshui, Huaishuguan, Huang Jiaying and Long Ting.

At the same time, the Huangjinxia Reservoir where the power station is located is also the water source of the planned "Hanjiang River Diversion Project" in Shaanxi Province (the "South-to-North Water Transfer Project" in Shaanxi Province, that is, the backbone project of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, which transfers the Hanjiang River in southern Shaanxi to the Weihe River in central Shaanxi).
