New Zealand's visa restrictions for studying abroad have been relaxed, and eight immigrant occupations have been added.
A few days ago, Immigration New Zealand released the latest policy adjustment of 20 14. These new policies will take effect from today. With the implementation of the new policy, the job restrictions of international students will be gradually relaxed, and eight occupations, such as purchasing manager, sports therapist and nutritionist, will be formally included in the immigration profession.
As one of the "strength policies" of the New Zealand government to attract international students, the work restrictions on international student visas will be fully relaxed, which means that international students will have more legal working hours. However, it is worth noting that if the visa currently held by international students does not indicate the work permit, they still need to apply for amending the visa terms before they can work legally.
At the same time, the Immigration Bureau is still making efforts to simplify the application procedures for international students. According to the old policy, students who have reached the age of 17 and plan to stay in New Zealand for 24 months or more are required to show proof of no criminal record and their official documents. From 20 14, the age at which student visa applicants need to submit proof of no criminal record has been raised to 20. (Note: In some cases, the immigration officer has the right to require the applicant to provide this certificate).
In terms of visa name, the existing graduate job-seeking work visa (commonly known as open work visa) was officially renamed as post-graduate work visa-open, and the graduate work experience visa (commonly known as two-year work visa-employee assistance) was officially renamed.
In terms of immigration policy, eight new occupations have been added as immigration occupations: purchasing manager, sports physiotherapist, nutritionist, registered baby nurse, intellectual property lawyer, archaeologist, hydrologist and dog trainer.
Seven professions, barrister, cable connector, electrical service personnel, electrical engineer, electrical inspector, electrical installer and financial consultant, have become new professions that need to be registered.
Applicants who need to submit relevant applications in China should note that from today, all applications from residents of five provinces and cities, such as Henan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan and Chongqing, except for immigration and ADS travel (that is, express group signing), will be submitted to the Beijing Branch of the New Zealand Immigration Bureau instead.
