Chinese history of Korean peninsula

According to the history of the Korean peninsula, the ancestors of many clans of Koreans originated in the Central Plains. These people came to life in south on the Korean peninsula mainly because of the war. Today, we can still see many traces of Central Plains people migrating to the Korean Peninsula in Korean household registration books, such as Suzhou Jia's.

At the end of Qing Dynasty in China, in order to escape the war, most China people crossed the Yellow Sea from Shandong Peninsula and landed in Incheon, Busan and Seoul at that time. Most of them are engaged in agriculture, catering, construction and other industries after landing.

19 10 During the Japanese occupation of the Korean peninsula, there were many entrepreneurs and wealthy businessmen among Korean Chinese. On the one hand, the Japanese should make use of Chinese resources, on the other hand, they should prevent Chinese from growing bigger. At that time, it was stipulated that employees in large-scale infrastructure should not exceed one-third of the total number of employees.

Before and after the founding of the Republic of Korea in A.D. 1950, there were still many China immigrants to Korea. In particular, the latest wave of immigrants from Chinese mainland appeared before and after the Civil War (1949). When the Kuomintang government of China retreated from the mainland, a large number of Han Chinese entered Korea from the mainland. Due to geographical factors, most of these people are Han people living in the northeast of China or Shandong Province, and a few are from other coastal areas.

After the founding of the Republic of China, the restrictions on's economy intensified. In order to protect Korean enterprises, foreign investment quotas are set, and China people are prohibited from engaging in real estate, foreign trade and other industries. Or restrict China people from working in government, military and large enterprises, no matter how long they live in South Korea.

Former South Korean President park chung-hee, whose term of office was from 196 1 July 3 to1June 26, 979, vigorously promoted the "policy of not welcoming overseas Chinese".

By 2002, Korean China people had to pay much higher interest on bank loans than Koreans, and they were not treated fairly when looking for a job. They even had to pay a high deposit for buying a mobile phone. In addition, South Korea's Chinese identity card number is different from that of Korean citizens. At present, there are nearly 5,000 Chinese mainland people studying in South Korea, most of whom go to work, especially Koreans in the northeast, but most of them are domestic helpers or wage earners.

In 2005, Korean company MChinatown signed a contract with South China's Tsinghua Co., Ltd. to build a new Zhonghua Street in a mountainous area in Gaoyang City, Gyeonggi Province, northwest of Seoul. This Zhonghua Street is expected to be completed in March 2007, covering an area of 1.5 million square meters (about 49,500 square meters) and will be the largest Zhonghua Street in Korea.

On May 3rd, 2006, South Korea held the election of local government chief. For the first time, foreigners aged over 19 who have the right to settle and legally reside in South Korea for more than three years were allowed to exercise their right to vote. Korean China people have the right to vote for the first time, but they still can't vote for members of parliament.
