Temporary resident visit (visitor) visa

Since March 9, 20 15, China and Canada have issued multiple entry visas to each other for business, tourism and visiting relatives in the other country. The duration of stay shall not exceed 180 days, and the longest validity period shall be 10 years but shall not exceed the validity period of passport.

1) Preparation materials

A. Applicants need to prepare complete application materials according to the list of documents for applying for a temporary resident visit visa. All Chinese documents must be accompanied by English or French translation. Some important application materials are as follows.

A. Online application

If you choose to apply online, you must use a scanner or camera to make an electronic copy of the document and pay the fee with a valid credit card. Determine whether you are qualified and apply online. Online application service fee 149.5 yuan.

B. Individual submissions

Bring your passport, photo, completed and signed form, documents listed in the list and corresponding fees to the Canadian Visa Application Center (CVAC) to submit your application. CVAC will charge necessary service fees. When you come to CVAC to submit your application, pay the service fee in cash. The service fee is RMB 186.9 yuan per applicant.

Note: If you submit documents at the visa application center, please fill in the service agreement form before submitting your visa application.

C. Submit an application by mail

You can mail the application materials to the visa application center. When submitting an application by mail, you should pay according to the payment guide for mailing the application, and check the remittance bank information. Each applicant needs to pay a service fee of 186.9 yuan. If you need to return the application materials by express delivery, you need to pay an extra 43.4 yuan. CVAC will send an application acceptance email and inform the application inquiry number within two working days after receiving the submitted email application.

3) Waiting for visa processing

4) Get a passport

A. If you choose to collect the returned materials in person or entrust others, you will receive an email telling you how to collect the returned materials at CVAC.

B. If you choose to return the information by mail or prepaid postage, CVAC will return the information to you by courier after receiving the information from the Canadian visa office.

Transit visas are applicable to applicants from non-visa-free countries who need to travel to a third country via Canada. The flight should not stay in Canada for more than 48 hours. The procedures for handling transit visas are the same as those for visitors. You can prepare complete application materials according to the transit visa part of the application list of temporary residence visa documents.
