Is Sabah visa-free

Sabah, Malaysia is not visa-free. China citizens must obtain a visa before entering Malaysia.

A valid passport and visa are required to enter Malaysia.

Individual citizens did not apply for changing their Malaysian visas on their original passports into new passports in time, but went to Malaysia with both old and new passports. The Malaysian Immigration Bureau requires the parties to show their passports and valid visas. Therefore, all China people with old and new passports are prohibited from entering royal malaysian customs.

The Embassy of China in Malaysia hereby solemnly reminds that the Malaysian government does not accept the combination of old and new passports and visas. If a China citizen issues a new passport, the Malaysian visa on the original passport will be invalid immediately. Please go to embassies and consulates in China, Malaysia in time to change the original visa into a new passport, so as to ensure the integrity, legality and validity of the passport and visa and avoid being blocked when entering Malaysia.

Do I need a visa to enter Malaysia?

You need a visa to enter Malaysia. Some countries are exempt from this requirement. Please consult the nearest Malaysian embassy/mission.

Citizens of Commonwealth countries do not need visas except Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nigeria. Citizens of Ireland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, San Marino and Liechtenstein do not need visas.

Albania, Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Norway, Oman and Peru. Citizens of Slovakia, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and Yemen can travel/visit for less than three months without a visa.

American citizens who come to Malaysia for social, business or academic purposes do not need a visa (except for local employment). All citizens of ASEAN countries, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region and British Overseas Citizens (BNO) who stay for less than one month do not need visas for social/business visits. Citizens of Brunei, Singapore and Vietnam need visas to stay for more than one month.

Citizens of Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Macao (travel permits), as well as citizens holding Portuguese foreigners' passports, do not need visas for a stay of more than 14 days.

Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Angola, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central Africa, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, C? te d 'Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Citizens of Senegal, Western Sahara, Nigeria, Taiwan Province Province, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan and People's Republic of China (PRC), as well as holders of identity cards, visa-free cards and travel cards, must obtain visas to enter Malaysia. Israeli nationals and Yugoslav nationals must apply to the Ministry of the Interior for special approval before entering Malaysia.

Citizens of other countries who are not included in any category do not need a social/business visit visa if they stay for less than one month.
