Because it is located between Zhongyang, Shilou and Shaanxi Qingjian counties, it is named Sanjiao. There are 30 natural villages and 27 administrative villages in the town, with 3,389 households and1215 people, and the cultivated land area is 24,466 mu, including jujube forest 10000 mu. Jujube is one of the main producing areas of jujube in Liulin County, with big kernel and small meat and thick taste. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Sanjiao was an important commercial town in Zhongyang (Ningxiang) County. In the first year of Guangxu reign (1875), the Yellow River flooded, and the water level rose for three days and nights, taking away a spacious and prosperous street and paved houses, turning more than 300 mu of flat land into a riverbed, and the market trade moved to the mountainside.
