Hong Kong actor Xia Yu

Xia Yu, formerly known as Huang Chengzhi, was born in Guangzhou on January 11, 1946, and is an actor in Hong Kong, China.

In 1962, he smuggled himself to Hong Kong, and then enrolled in Shaw Brothers' "Southern Experimental Theater Training Course" and worked as an extra while studying. Later, he joined Li Yingsheng and changed his stage name to Xia Yu. He switched to TVB in 1974, immigrated to Canada around 1997, returned to TVB in 2000, and signed with TVB in 2008 to become its agent and contract artist. In 2008, he won the Best Actor Award at the Wireless Star Awards Ceremony for "House of Heart-wrenching Storm: Full Moon". He has participated in many works, including "The Legend of the Condor Heroes (83 Edition)", "House of Heart-wrenching Storm, Full Moon", "Sweet Grandpa", "A Scholar in Love with a Soldier", "Dad to Be a King", "Tuo Qiang" Sister" series, etc., and also participated in the filming of the movie "Lucky Star Gongzhao". In 2012, he signed a contract with Hong Kong Television.
