A year later, Li Yong was hanged by Wu Sangui in Kunming. However, there are still many civil and military officials, followers and a large number of people who fled to Myanmar with Zhu Youlang, and still live in the barren hills in northern Myanmar and southwestern Yunnan, China. Among them, Li Dingguo, a famous soldier under Li Zicheng, once escorted Zhu Youlang into Myanmar along the road and worked with the Qing army in the border area for a long time. Shortly after Zhu Youlang was killed in Kunming, he died in Mengla County on the border between China and Laos. After more than 300 years of hard life, these exiles finally developed into the Kokang nationality in Myanmar today and the Han nationality with other names in this area.
