How many countries use Russian?

So far, only Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova have legally obtained the status of "official language" or "second official language". The former Soviet Union joined the Soviet Union, and China was once the official language. Now the former Soviet Union has disintegrated, but the influence of language still exists.
